As Marketing Coordinator for Speaking of Horses, I apply my experience in communications, fundraising, and nonprofit management. I also volunteer with my therapy dog at UVA's Children's Hospital.
My professional journey began at the U.S. House of Representatives, where I served as Staff Assistant in the Office of the Legislative Counsel (1986-1989), answering calls, directing legislative requests, and maintaining files.
At The Battle of Normandy Foundation (1989-1992), I worked as Assistant Director of Member Services, overseeing services for 40,000 members, assisting with fundraising campaigns, managing part-time employees, editing newsletter content, and administering the computer network.
I then served as Corporate Fund Assistant Manager at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (1992-1996), where I administered corporate campaign activities, prepared correspondence, acknowledged gifts, tracked solicitations, organized donor events, and supervised interns.
Today, I contribute my skills to Speaking of Horses while continuing my commitment to community service.
